Bridgewater State senior goalkeeper Griffin was solid between the pipes for the Bears' during their NEWLA Tournament title run last week as she posted a 2-0 record with 24 saves, a 10.00 goals against average and a .545 save percentage to go along with six ground balls earning NEWLA Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Bridgewater State's Shannon Manning tallied nine goals and 11 assists for 20 points in a perfect 2-0 week for the Bears with wins over Plymouth State University and Elms College earning NEWLA Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Stephanie Pearce was instrumental to Castleton's first-ever win in program history over Bridgewater State College this past week scoring four goals including the eventual game-winner at 12:30 in the second half earning NEWLA Offensive Player of the Week.

The junior attacker also picked up 12 ground balls, won eight draw controls and caused 10 turnovers to propel the Spartans to a winning week earning NEWLA Offensive Player of the Week.
In a 2-1 week for the Falcons, Fitchburg State's Kaitlyn Kelley totaled 14 points on ten goals and four assists. The junior attacker totaled six points on four scores and two helpers in a 20-9 victory over Sweet Briar College, posted three goals and one dish in a 15-12 win over Manhattanville and scored three times with one assist in an 10-11 loss to Curry.
Bridgewater State's Jenny Jones tallied nine goals and an assist to go along with a pair of ground balls and four draw controls during the Bears' season-opening trip to West Palm Beach, Florida. Jones recorded five goals and an assist in BSC's 14-13 comeback win over Vassar, and four goals in the Bears' 16-15 loss to St. Lawrence earning NEWLA Offensive Player of the Week.
